Tutorial Root Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini I8190

Next month Mini version of the most successful smartphone of the year Galaxy S3 will be officially distributed in Vietnam. At this time, however, there are quite a few people who own this phone in a portable way. With a compact design and moderate configuration, the Galaxy S3 mini is quite suitable for the needs of Vietnamese people.
Very soon after launch, members on the XDA forum have figured out how to Root this smartphone. If you want to root your Galaxy S3 mini please follow the instructions below:


  • The following guide is dedicated to the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini GT-I8190 international version running Android 4.1.1. Application to other devices can lead to unexpected results.
  • The guide is for general reference only, and we do not warrant that instructions will work correctly under certain circumstances.
  • Root will lose warranty from the manufacturer, when need to bring warranty or update the official software from the manufacturer to do Unroot.
  • Read the entire manual thoroughly before proceeding.

  • The Windows computer is installed. The USB driver can be installed by installing the Kies software.
  • Enable USB Debugging: "Settings> Applications> Development> USB debugging"
  • Backup all important data such as contacts, messages, passwords, notes ... to google account, memory card or backup to computer.
  • Charge the device for at least 60%.

Root Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini:

Step 1: Download the following files to your computer:

Step 2 : Unzip the two files just downloaded above. Double click on the Odin3 file to run the program.
Step 3 : Turn off your phone, boot into download mode by pressing and holding down Volume Down + Home + Power, and then Volume Up to enter Download mode.
Step 4 : Connect your phone to PC via USB cable, if successful, the first box on Odin3 will show yellow.
Step 5 : Tick the PDA box and click on the PDA button next to it. Find and select the file WIPE_I8190.tar.md5 extracted in step 2. (Note not select the Re-patition box, if wrong choose to carry the warranty)
Step 6 : Click start to start Flash, the process takes a few minutes.
Step 7 : The process is complete, the machine will automatically restart.
